"For a star to be born, there is one thing that must happen: a gaseous nebula must collapse.

So collapse.
Crumble.
This is not your destruction.

This is your birth."

i’m under my covers, staring
up at the ceiling as the
sheraton logo across the street
casts a lurid glow.
there is an ennui about tonight.
the tiny sadness in my stomach grows, and
i’m shivering, thinking about endings
and nighttime and what “cold” really means.
